Insomnia Cookies opened underneath Seagull Square on March 28. A line stretched out the door and around the parking lot, as customers eagerly waited to get fresh baked cookies, brownies and ice cream sandwiches.

Insomnia Cookies was founded in 2003 in Pennsylvania and has since become a college-town staple across the country. Each location is open until 3 a.m., giving students an option for a late-night study snack or a treat after an evening out.
One student in line, Freshman Niall Sheehan, shared his excitement about the new dessert spot.
“I’m pumped, I’m so thrilled, I’m going to get the peanut butter [cookie], but I want to get multiple flavors so I can test them all out,” Sheehan said.
Insomnia Cookies is an exciting new addition that will not only add to the campus community, but the Salisbury community at large.

“I think for all the people living in Seagull Square and all the people coming back from Commons needing a snack, it will be really beneficial,” says Sheehan.
Surely, many students will find enjoyment in the newest campus addition and will savor a sweet treat after long nights.
