BREAKING NEWS:
Salisbury University has canceled classes for Thursday and Friday to allow faculty time to prepare for remote (online) instruction in accordance with guidance from the University System of Maryland, according to the president's office.
Instruction will be delivered online for possible courses from March 23 to April 3. SU does not expect the campus to be closed during this time but is advising students to not return to campus until April 4.
There are currently no positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) at SU or on the Eastern Shore.
The administration encourages students who are leaving for spring break to take all essential belongings with them, in case access to campus becomes restricted.
SU is discouraging students, faculty and staff from traveling nationally or internationally during this time.
SU officials are holding a virtual town hall meeting on Friday from 1:30 to 3 p.m. to answer any questions and provide updated information. A live streaming link can be found at
