Former SU SGA president convicted for child pornography solicitation


Former Salisbury University Student Government Association President Brendan Link, 22, pled guilty for soliciting a minor for child pornography on Wednesday, according to the Wicomico County State's Attorney's Office.


Link will face a 10-year suspended sentence and five years probation in addition to a 25-year reporting requirement on the National Sex Offender Registry.


The victim, a minor, was encouraged by Link to send nude photos and video via Snapchat. This information was obtained by Salisbury Police on July 24 2020, according to the Wicomico County State's Attorney's Office.


Link resigned as SGA president Aug. 1 of 2020 after to being elected in April 2020, according to The SUFlyer.
