How to attend SU presidential search town hall

Salisbury University will host University System of Maryland Chancellor Jay Perman for an on-campus town hall Thursday as the institution begins the search for its tenth president.

Perman will be joined by USM Board of Regents Assistant Secretary Robert Rauch, head of the SU President Search and Screening Committee, in the Guerrieri Student Union Wicomico Room at 3 p.m., according to a recent Stay Informed email.

The two USM leaders will seek guidance on the upcoming search process and respond to questions from an audience of SU students, faculty and staff, as well as local Salisbury community members, following SU President Charles Wight’s decision to step down from the position at the end of the 2021-22 academic year.

“I look forward to working with the entire SU community to identify the next leader of Salisbury University — one as dedicated as President Wight to the institution, its people and its vision of excellence,” Perman said.

Admission to the town hall will be free to the entire campus and local community, per the email. The event will also be livestreamed here for those unable to attend in person.
