Masks no longer required outside classrooms at SU

Salisbury University announced today masks are no longer required outside classroom settings, effective Feb. 18 at 3 p.m. While in classrooms, Guerrieri Academic Commons and Holloway Hall, students are still required to wear KN95, KF94 or N95 masks, according to a school-wide email.

Masks will no longer be required in the following areas, unless requested otherwise:

- Residence Halls

- Meeting and conference rooms

- Dining Commons

- Guerrieri Student Union

- East Campus facilities

- SU Downtown

- Faculty and staff offices

The decision followed the University System of Maryland's statement on Feb. 14, working to reduce COVID-19 restrictions on the state's college campuses, according to the email.

The SU community is encouraged to respect those who still choose to wear masks, wearing one if requested.
