Over 230 positive cases in recent round of COVID-19 testing

Updated: Sep 11, 2020

Of the 3,603 COVID-19 tests conducted from Friday-Tuesday, 234 came back positive, according to a recent Stay Informed email sent to the campus community.

These results place the current positivity rate at 6.5%, roughly the same as Wicomico County as a whole, according to the email.

On Tuesday, 1,869 members of the community were tested with 161 tests returning positive results.

"Our goal for positivity rate is below 5%," the email said. "Results from yesterday's tests, expected this weekend, will determine whether we have met that objective."
