Salisbury’s demanding early-season schedule has pitted them against numerous nationally ranked programs, including No. 22 Johns Hopkins. The Sea Gulls have also been challenged in every aspect of competition on the pitch with Saint Mary’s College of Maryland and Ursinus College. These matchups have given the Sea Gulls opportunities to evaluate their formations, physicality and overall performance against high-level competition.

The No. 17 Sea Gulls have posted an 11-1-2 record so far this season, including wins in their last four games. Their only loss so far came against No. 6 Lynchburg, 5-1. Since then, Salisbury has faced two more ranked opponents, earning a 0-0 draw against No. 9 Catholic University at home before securing a 2-1 victory over No. 22 Johns Hopkins.

The Sea Gulls have been dominant at home, posting a 5-0-1 record, while maintaining a strong 4-1-1 mark on the road. Game after game, Salisbury continues to build momentum, often finding ways to deliver exciting results.

With each game, the Sea Gulls continue to improve, building a more cohesive and formidable squad. Throughout the season the team has strengthened its chemistry, with player supporting one another as they adjust and grow together.

Following Salisbury’s 2-1 victory over ranked in-state rival Johns Hopkins, freshman defender Brogan Eastlack echoed the team’s mindset as they continue to take on ranked teams.

“Just keep going, we want to make the tournament, we want to win the Coast-to-Coast and have to put in the work on the field,” Eastlack said. “These guys are my brothers, I love the coaches, team and school. My brothers back me the most and help through the highs and lows as we are all in it together.”

As the season schedule carries on, Head Coach Zach MacDougall stresses the importance of consistency and preparation for each game.

“Our guys have shown up every day with a desire to improve. This is an incredibly driven and motivated group. They're all aligned on their vision of what they aim to accomplish,” MacDougall said. “The other aspect is the unity amongst the team. I don't think I've been around such a tight knit group. They care deeply about one another and take pride in making everyone feel welcomed and accepted.”

The Sea Gulls have shown an ability to thrive under pressure, building on previous performances to find ways to win together. Whether early in the game or in the final minutes, the squad finds ways to execute plays.

“Continue to do the little things at an even higher level. Show up every day with the same appetite and hunger to grow, learn, and improve.” MacDougall said.

Looking ahead, Salisbury has many crucial games left on the schedule in Penn State Abington, Regent University and Christopher Newport University. These contests will play an important role in determining the Sea Gulls’ positioning for the Coast-to-Coast Tournament.

As the regular season winds down, Salisbury has its sights set on a memorable finish. With postseason positioning on the line, the Sea Gulls will look to carry their momentum into the final stretch of the schedule. The road ahead presents challenges, but continued strong performances could put Salisbury in position to make a statement on the national stage.
