Today, a shots fired incident occurred less than a mile from Salisbury University's campus on Lakewood Dr., according to the Salisbury Police Department's Facebook page.
Salisbury University students received an emergency dispatch text and email around 12:42 a.m. followed by another dispatch email at 1:22 a.m. confirming a shots fired incident was under investigation.
The incident remains under investigation and this story will be updated as more information becomes available.
