SU school spirit on full display at Flock Party

Salisbury students, parents and faculty enjoyed pregame activities before the SU homecoming football game on Oct. 11. Strong school spirit and excitement filled the air before SU’s victory over Kean.

Graduate Student Council Treasurer Logan Wilson has attended many SU football games and worked on the athletic events staff for the past 2 years. Wilson said he likes how the community comes together for the football games and how great the environment is.


“It's always an energetic atmosphere, the game doesn’t start for another hour or so, but we already have music playing,” Wilson said. “Everyone's walking around, saying hi and greeting each other friendly."

Salisbury University parent Joe Green has a daughter who is a sophomore majoring in occupational therapy. Green said that this was the family’s first Salisbury football game.


“We are just very excited to participate,” Green said. “Just love the spirit that Salisbury and the Sea Gull fans bring to the event."

Senior biology major Lydia Loftus was at the Flock Party to help at the EMT tent and provide first aid. Loftus said she likes the events at the games.


“I really like the halftime shows, and I'm excited for the marching band this year,” Loftus said. “My roommate is on POMS, and I like watching the cheerleaders.”

Senior finance major Brendan Birch believes the Salisbury football community is very strong. He said that this event was special.


“Out here for the 100th anniversary of our university, I think this homecoming is super special,” Birch said. “We’re just out here talking to past Perdue alumni and past finance alumni, getting in touch with our community."
