Happy Thursday Sea Gulls, let’s take a look into the weather for this weekend:
Thursday: Today is not as warm as the past couple of days but there’s only a few more days of cold until we head into next week. This morning, we had temperatures sitting in the low 30s, but we have a high of 38 for today with partly cloudy skies. We are experiencing a NW wind with some heavy gusts, 10-30 MPH. Due to these wind gusts this afternoon, the wind chill temperature will make it feel like the mid-20s with a mix of sun and clouds for the rest of this afternoon.
Friday: Overnight the clouds will disperse with temperatures sitting in the twenties first thing in the morning. We have a high of 40 tomorrow. The wind will be the biggest factor to look at tomorrow because with high wind gusts, the feel like temperatures will be about 10 degrees lower than the actual temperature. Make sure to grab some extra layers if you’re out on campus but this cold won’t be anything compared to what we felt this past weekend. A low of 25 degrees for Friday evening.
Saturday: We’ll be sitting in the mid-twenties but minimal wind in the morning. However, the direction of the wind on Saturday means the warm front has already started to work its way in. We have a high of 50 degrees and partly cloudy so that sunshine will peek through all day long. Heading into Saturday evening, there won’t be a cloud in the sky, and the wind will be on the calmer side. This will definitely be the best day for any plans you may have for this weekend.
Sunday: Saturday overnight into early Sunday morning and lingering into Monday, there will be a chance of some rain showers. In most areas there will be .5”. By Monday morning that rain will be out to the coast leaving us with cloudy skies for Monday evening.
Looking at the seven-day forecast for next week, as you can see those temperatures start to rise almost hitting the 60s with sunshine all week long. More to come next week.
