Salisbury University will be holding a gathering Oct. 25 in remembrance of senior Sky Campbell, who was killed Oct.10 following a dirt bike accident in Carroll County.
Update: The gathering has been moved from SU's Quad to the Wicomico Room in the Guerrieri Student Union due to forecasted inclement weather.
The gathering is to provide an opportunity for, “fellow classmates to share memories, and there will be an opportunity for all to write notes, prayers or poems to be shared with [Campbell's] family,” according to an email from the SU Student Affairs Group.
Those attending are also able to add pictures to memory boards that will be given to Campbell’s family.
The gathering is scheduled to take place at 8 p.m.
T-shirts have been designed in Campbell’s honor by the Salisbury University Student Nurses Association, of which Campbell was an active member, and may be purchased here.
All profits will go to Campbell’s family, “to help cover expenses for service arrangements and [for] support …during this difficult time,” per the fundraiser.
The shirt’s design is intended, “to represent Sky's love for nature and wildflowers.”
Campbell was planning to graduate in May 2021 from the SU School of Nursing in the College of Health and Human Services.
